After many months of reading about chinchillas Durham Ontario Chinchillas finally purchased our first. Freddy was our very first and will always hold a special signifigance to us.  After much more investigation and consultation of breeders we decided to purchase a gorgeous Homo Beige girl.  Her personality was that of diamond in the rough. Melow, as her name states is a very calm amazing chinchilla.  We decided that Melow would be perfect for a breeding program based on health, quality and personality.

Melow and Freddy hit it off immediately and the rest is history. Thanks to Melow and Freddy the Durham Ontario Chinchilla breeder was born.
